Welcome to the UDV District Council 3's website

Pipe for Irrigation

Northern Victoria is the largest dairying region in Australia, with some 2300 farms producing 2.1 billion litres of milk which is about 22% of national production (2006/07).  Dairy Australia recently estimated that the value of farm milk production in the region was $829 million.

Dairy remains the largest agricultural industry in the irrigation districts across Northern Victoria, owning 67% of water entitlements.

This website has been designed by United Dairy Farmers of Victoria (UDV) District Council Three as an information resource for dairy farmers across Northern Victoria.

UDV District Council 3 is made up of UDV branches from Benalla, Cobram, Katandra/Invergorden, Katunga, Nathalia and Strathmerton.

We hope this website is a useful tool for farmers to remain up to date on issues affecting the region.
